Have a craving for an easy paleo dessert? Look no farther! This no-bake paleo dessert whips up in a moment with a blender. It is sugar-free and quick to make. It uses cacao powder which is a super-food and the sweetener comes from ground dates. It is dairy-free as well.

I love having a treat with my cup of tea for a good afternoon pick-me-up.

Chocolate spice candies:

2 cups of melted coconut oil
1 1/2 cup of dates
3 cups shredded coconut
1 1/2 cup cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Step One: Blend the dates and coconut oil in a food processor (or your Vitamix) until the dates are chopped to fine pieces. Next, mix all dry ingredients together separately. Add coconut oil/dates to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Fill ice cube trays with the “dough” and freeze. This can keep this for several weeks in the freezer- but I doubt it will last that long!

In addition, these vegan chocolates are also GAPS friendly! I used to eat them a lot when I was on the GAPS diet. It can be tricky finding a good GAPS dessert. I ate a ton of these.

The spice blends very well with the chocolate. These really helped me get past intense sugar cravings.
I could eat these all day long!

This no-bake paleo dessert pairs extremely well with a cup of coffee. Learn how to make the best pour over coffee here.
