You may be like me and wonder if a Son de Flor linen dress is worth the cost. I have owned my Son de Flor linen dress for a year and love it! I wanted to write about the dress here because, as these dresses are an investment, I thought some people might like to read a Son de Flor dress review before purchasing.

Please note that I received this dress last year in exchange for posting on Instagram. I was not required to write this post.

Son de Flor Dress Review

Features:

I own the long sleeved Classic dress. One of the great things about the Classic dress is that it is nursing friendly! The whole front of the bodice has functional buttons so it is very easy to nurse. I am not currently breastfeeding, of course, but I did for years and years, so I know when a dress is good for it.

One of the things that make this dress stand out is the beautiful full circle skirt. It is perfect for twirling if you are still into that sort of thing, like me. The hemline of the skirt is lined with a lovely white fabric. The dress also has an invisible side zipper which makes it quite easy to get in and out of without having to fiddle with buttons.

Washing:

This dress has been washed many times. I did not notice any shrinking or any problem with machine washing. Please note that linen lasts much longer when you wash it in cold water and always air dry it. A tumble dryer sucks the fibers out of the linen making it less durable. It is very wrinkly when you take it out of the washer. I immediately put it on a hanger and smooth the wrinkles out with my hands. Maybe I should not be admitting this, but I don’t think I’ve ever ironed my Son de Flor dress. Linen is amazing and the wrinkles usually smooth out on their own while wearing it. Granted, I usually wear it around the house before going out so the winkles have time to release.

Son de Flor Dress Review

The dress is made very well. The seams are all very sturdy and the dress looks like it will last for ages. As I said, I’ve had it for a year and it has shown no signs of wear. A lot of the cheap dresses are made quite poorly and either fall apart or don’t stand up to washing. This dress is more expensive, but it is made with great care and attention to detail.

Conclusion:

Overall, I am very happy with my Son de Flor linen dress. I am a huge advocate of the slow fashion movement. I prefer owning less things that are made very well and will last for years. To conclude my Son de Flor dress review- is it worth the cost? I think so. That is if you are committed to quality over quantity. It is easy for me to say, of course, because it was gifted; still I would definitely consider saving up for another one. I believe that this dress will last for many years.
