Life has been life. I read some books, watched some shows, did the same household chores on endless repeat and drank ten thousand cups of tea. Naturally, I practiced my tea cup photography quite a lot.
You know, if you are brewing black tea, it is best to steep when the water is at a full boil. That means you have several minutes to take photos before it becomes a cup of cold disappointment.
I used to quickly my photos while the tea was in this critical stage. Then I had an epiphany. I could brew a second cup with the leftover tea, or use leftover cold coffee, ha! You can’t tell the difference in the photo, I can promise you that.
One of my dreams came true and Anthropologie contacted me to ask to share a few photos on their Instagram feed and send me some tea cups to use for future photos.
I died that day. From amazement. I am just a ghost typing this message. If you are reading this, Anthropologie Rep, I lived a happy life and have no regrets.
On a more serious note, I’ve gotten utterly addicted to some young adult novels. I never thought I would type those words. I guess you could consider Anne of Green Gables a YA novel, so it isn’t so strange, I guess.
I’m not ripping young adult novels, they really are good! I am just surprised that I like them so much after binging on 300+ hours of Charles Dickens. I am reading one right now about dragon riders. I say “reading” but I am listening to it as an audiobook. Anyway, whenever I try to explain the plot to Matt I end up laughing out loud because it sounds so silly.
“The dragon just breathed fire for the first time!”
“The dragon rider just met the beautiful elvish warrior that had appeared as a vision in his dreams!”
“The dragon just used its powers to encase the tomb in diamonds!” You know, “cool” stuff like that.
So that is about it. The last few months as described in tea photos with most cups either empty or filled with cold tea or coffee. I guess that really does sum it up! 😆 Just kidding!
